YouTube Premium Pricing Changes

YouTube subscription prices vary by country and currency

In 2023, the YouTube premium individual plan was priced at $11.99 monthly and the student plan was $6.99. The prices for the two plans increased by $2 and $1 respectively in 2024.

In 2022, the YouTube premium family plan was priced at $17.99. In 2023, the price increased to $22.99. The individual and student plan prices did not change.

In May 2018, YouTube Red became YouTube Premium and was only available in the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, and South Korea.;

Before rebranding to YouTube Premium, there were only individual, and Family Plans priced at $9.99 and $14.99 monthly respectively.

In November 2018, YouTube introduced the YouTube Premium Student Plan.

Between 2019 and 2022 prices remained unchanged for all the three plans

In 2017, YouTube Red (Now YouTube Premium) only had one membership plan priced at $9.99/month. It was only available in a few countries.

In October 2015, YouTube red (which is now YouTube Premium)was launched with a single membership plan of $9.99. From 2015 to 2017, the membership price remained the same.
