Ghost Update on Subscription Price Increase in July
Ghost has updated its pricing page to reflect increased prices starting in July 2025. Below is a screenshot of the updated prices.
The Ghost Creator and Team plans are being replaced by the Publisher plan. The new pricing plans are now Starter, Publisher, Business, and Custom.
The Starter plan remains priced at $15 per month (billed yearly), while the Creator plan, previously $25 per month (billed yearly), is now $29 per month under the new Publisher plan. The Business plan remains the same at $199 per month when billed yearly.
If you visit the Ghost pricing page, the Starter plan is priced at $15 per month (billed yearly), but it was previously shown as $9 per month (billed yearly). The difference is that the $9 plan included up to 500 members. Now, for the same $15, you can have up to 1,000 members. So, the member limit has increased from 500 to 1,000.
However, the Starter plan is losing some key features, such as the ability to accept paid subscriptions and donations. To accept payments or monetize your content, you’ll need to upgrade to the Publisher plan.
Ghost says existing members will always be grandfathered into their current pricing.
