Vercel Pro Pricing Model Change to Usage-Based
Vercel is updating its Pro plan to make it simpler and flexible for teams. The changes will lead to a price increase for about 7% of teams, and others (over 100,000 teams) will not be affected by the changes or will see a decrease in bills.
Instead of fixed limits for over 20 different services (like bandwidth or storage), the Pro plan now gives you a $20 monthly credit to use across all services however you need. You also get extra credits for Fast Data Transfer ($150+) and Edge Requests ($20+).
With this update, you no longer have to pay for team members who only need to view projects, previews, or analytics (like non-developers or clients). They get free access
Additionally, features like SAML SSO and HIPAA agreements, which used to require an Enterprise plan and sales contact, are now available directly on the Pro plan
To prevent unexpected bills, Spend Management is now automatic. You will get alerts if you are about to go over your included usage or hit a $200 default spending limit (customizable). You can also set it to pause deployments if you reach your limit.
