Screen Studio Update on Removal of One-Time Payment and Shift to Subscriptions

The Pay Once license, which previously cost $229, is no longer available. In an email sent to customers, Adam the founder of Screen Studio, says that the $229 license has been discontinued and replaced with a yearly plan costing $108. This new plan includes lifetime updates as long as your subscription remains active.

Since its launch, Screen Studio has been experimenting with different pricing models. In 2022, it had a one-time payment (standard license) priced at $89 for one macOS device, which included one year of updates. After a year, you had an option to pay a discounted price to continue receiving updates. Later, Screen Studio introduced yearly and monthly subscription plans in addition to the one-time payment option. Now, the one-time license has been permanently removed.

Screen Studio noted that customers who previously paid $229 for the one-time license will receive two years of free updates. This means existing customers will continue to get the latest updates for two years starting from September 2025.

We will continue to monitor Screen Studio's price changes and update them on the Screen Studio Pricing History page.
