CloudFront update on Introducing Fixed Pricing Plans
CloudFront update on introducing three fixed pricing plans in addition to the pay-as-you-go. Below is a screenshot of the new plans.
CloudFront flat-rate pricing model has Free, Pro, Business, and Premium plans. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes 1 million requests and 100 GB of data transfer, plus 5 GB of S3 storage, basic WAF with 5 rules, DNS, and DDoS protection (limited to 3 distributions per account).
The Pro plan costs $15 per month for 10 million requests and 50 TB of data transfer, including 50 GB of S3 storage and 25 WAF rules. Compared to pay-as-you-go, users with medium traffic gain huge savings, for instance, serving 10 million requests and 50 TB would cost around $4,250 in data transfer alone under pay-as-you-go in the US (at $0.085 per GB), but now costs just $15 fixed. However, you lose features you may like LambdaEdge.
The Business plan is priced at $200 per month supports 125 million requests and 50 TB of data transfer, adding 1 TB of S3 storage, 50 WAF rules, bot management for self-identifying bots, advanced DDoS protection, and private origins in VPC. This plan gives you strong protection and predictability; serving 125 million requests and 50 TB, under pay-as-you-go could exceed $4,000 monthly, now fixed at $200.
The Premium plan costs $1,000 per month for 500 million requests and 50 TB of data transfer, including 5 TB of S3 storage, 75 WAF rules, advanced bot management, origin failover, and high speed private routing.
We will continue to monitor CloudFront’s pricing changes and update them on the CloudFront Pricing History page.
