Mailchimp Update on Free Plan Contact Limit Reduction on February 17th

Mailchimp Free, Essentials, Standard, and Premium plan pricing remains the same, but the contact limit has been reduced from 500 to 250. The number of emails you can send per month has also been reduced from 1,000 to 500, and the daily sending limit has been reduced from 500 to 250. Below is what Mailchimp had to say about the changes:

"We’re writing to let you know about changes we’re making to the Free Marketing plan. On February 17th, the plan will have new limits on contacts and send volume.

Based on your account’s current contact amount and recent sending volume, you’re not immediately impacted by this change. If your contact or sending needs increase, here’s how these changes could affect you or any other account on a Free Marketing plan you have.

If you exceed 250 contacts in the future, you’ll need to archive contacts to reach 250 or fewer contacts, or upgrade to a paid plan to continue sending emails. Likewise, if you want to send more than 500 emails per month or more than 250 emails ‌a day, you can switch to a plan that meets your sending needs."

We will continue monitoring Mailchimp pricing changes and update them Mailchimp Pricing History page.
