Board Game Arena Update on Subscription Price Increase on July 1

The annual subscription price for Board Game Arena will increase from $36 to $42 USD and from 36€ to 42€ in other regions, effective July 1, 2025. This is a 16.7% increase in both currencies. The monthly subscription rate remains unchanged at $5 / 5€. Board Game Arena also stated that it will update pricing for other currencies at a later date.

The new pricing will apply to both new and existing users. This means that any current subscribers whose renewal occurs on or after July 1, 2025, will be charged the increased rate.

Below is what Board Game Arena had to day on why they increased subscription prices;

"Over the past year, we have added hundreds of new games - including major titles like Terraforming Mars or Small World and recent hits like Harmonies, Castle Combo and Sky Team- while also introducing innovative experiences such as Altered, which lets you play on Board Game Arena with custom decks synched to the physical cards you own.

We have expanded our team to develop new features faster, revamping key areas like the home page. We mainly worked behind the scenes to significantly upgrade our infrastructure and capability to support a growing player base. We are, however, conscious that there are still efforts to be made on some topics.

Your subscription directly supports Board Game Arena's growth and improvement, as well as game creators and publishers due to fair compensation. It plays a key role in fulfilling our mission to connect players: discover new games, practice with friends, and compete with the world."

Board Game Arena also says that it will provide an offer via email to eligible long-time premium subscribers.
