Philips Hue has sent an email update to customers notifying them of a product price increase starting July 1, 2025. Below is an attached screenshot of the email.

Philips Hue update on Product Price Increase on July 1st

Several Hue customers in the US have received the email above, which indicates that Philips Hue will raise product prices beginning July 1, 2025. Hue is offering a 25% discount for customers who purchase products before the price increase on the US website http://www.philips-hue.com/en-us, though not all products are eligible. For example, the A19 E26 smart bulb, which currently costs $50, will be priced at $37.49 with the discount.

Interestingly, most Hue products are cheaper on Amazon compared to Hue's website. For instance, a 6-pack of Hue White and Color Ambiance Slim Downlights (6-inch) costs $335.95 with free overnight delivery on Amazon, while the same product on the Hue website is priced at $382.14. The maths doesn’t add up, even with the discount. Purchasing from the Philips Hue Store on Amazon before July 1st will likely save you significantly more.

The email from Hue does not specify the reason for the price increase. However, since most users who received the notification are in the US, the rise is likely due to tariffs.
