Starlink Update on Subscription Price Increase in Norway
Starlink has emailed customers in Norway notifying them of a subscription price increase. The email screenshot is attached below.
Starlink's Roam Unlimited plan in Norway is increasing from kr 814 per month to kr 1,000 per month — a 22% hike. The Residential Unlimited plan (BOLIG) remains unchanged at kr 569 per month.
The new pricing takes effect immediately for new customers, and will be applied to existing customers in their next billing cycle.
The current Starlink pricing plans in Norway are as follows:
Personal | |
---|---|
Residential Lite | kr 399/mo. |
Residential | kr 569/mo. |
Roam – 50 GB | kr 475/mo. |
Roam-UNLIMYTED | kr 1 000/mo. |
Business | |
LOCAL PRIORITY - 50 GB | kr 715/mo. |
LOCAL PRIORITY - 500 GB | kr 1 815/mo. |
LOCAL PRIORITY - 1TB | kr 3 190/mo. |
LOCAL PRIORITY - 2TB | kr 5 940/mo. |
Although Starlink has not provided a specific reason for the recent price increase, it appears the company is aiming to standardize pricing globally. In the U.S., the Roam-Unlimited plan costs $124 per month, while in Norway it is priced at kr 1,000 per month - equivalent to approximately $100 based on current exchange rates. Despite the increase, Norwegian users are still paying significantly less than their U.S. counterparts
We will continue monitoring Starlink price changes and update them on the Starlink Pricing History page.
