Patreon Update on Price Increase for Creators on August 4th

Starting August 4, 2025, you will see new pricing if you are creating a new Patreon page. The Pro and Premium plans, which previously charged an 8% and 12% fee respectively, are being merged into a single plan called Standard, which will charge a 10% fee.

Other pricing changes include:

Video storage will now be limited to 100 hours per month instead of the previous 100 lifetime hours.

Teams will be made available to all creators.

Payment Processing rates for creators whose pages were created after August 4, 2025 are as follows;

Payment Method Fee (USD)
Credit Card, Apple Pay 2.9% + $0.30 (per payment over $3)
PayPal/Venmo (US) 2.9% + $0.30 (per payment over $3)
PayPal/Venmo (non-US) 3.9% + $0.30 (per payment over $3)

There is also a 2.5% currency conversion fee on non-payout currency transactions.

Existing users with an active creator page will not be affected by these changes. They will be grandfathered into their current plans unless they unpublish their creator pages.

Patreon says it is changing the plans as part of its transition into a media and community platform and in preparation for the launch of new products like Livestreaming, which is currently in beta.
