Going forward, Junk Store 2.0 will adopt a subscription model, starting at $40 for 12 months of updates. The wording of the pricing update likely suggests that you can continue using the app without renewing, as long as future updates don’t break existing integrations.

The paid version of Junk Store includes full support for GOG, Amazon, emulators, and ROMs, and adds convenient features like download queues, language switching, cloud saves (experimental), and DLC selection. It also increases the game management capacity to 1,000 games per tab, compared to 100 in the free version.

Junk Store states that the subscription model is being introduced to cover growing infrastructure costs related to downloads, server usage, and daily user activity. They also say that subscription revenue will help grow the team and support the development of new features like cloud saves.
